Abu Dhabi-based property developer, IMKAN, which is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG) has revealed that it has completed the concrete substructure for its seven-tower Pixel development on Reem Island. Taking shape at IMKAN’s Makers District, the Pixel development will be home to 525 contemporary apartments ranging from studios to three-bedroom options. The entire seven-tower community is designed in partnership with Dutch architectural firm MVRDV.

Pixel is the first phase of Makers District, which is due for completion in 2021. The masterplan also includes a hotel, and further residential options, which totals 3,700 units across the development, F&B outlets and co-working spaces within a community. IMKAN Properties CEO, Walid El Hindi, said: “Pixel has been designed as a first-choice destination amid a vibrant neighbourhood – home to a community of entrepreneurs and those with a millennial mind set.

He added: “We are committed to ensuring that as soon as our residents’ keys turn in their doors, they have everything they need - both in their homes and in their outside community. We are delighted with the progress being made with Pixel and with this important construction milestone.”
